Our Story
Tomas and Michal didn’t just learn Jiu-Jitsu — they live it. Over a decade of training, competing, and teaching across Europe led them to Renzo Gracie Holland, where they earned their black belts from Kemail Verhoeven in December 2024.
In 2025, they built something of their own.
Renzo Gracie Prague Fight Academy isn’t just another gym. It’s the result of a lifetime dedicated to the art. Every technique we teach, every drill we run, every class we lead — it all connects back to the source. From the Gracie family in Brazil, through Renzo’s legendary academies, through Kemail Verhoeven in Holland, to these mats in Prague 13.
That’s not marketing. That’s lineage.
What We Believe
Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone.
You don’t need to be athletic. You don’t need experience. You don’t need to be young. You just need to show up.
Technique beats strength.
The whole point of BJJ is that a smaller, weaker person can defeat a bigger, stronger one. We teach the art the way it was meant to be taught — technical, precise, effective.

Michal “Grizzly” Tauber is among the respected figures in the Czech combat sports scene.
